Socio-Economic Baseline Survey - County Government Of Meru
The county government of Meru mandated Borasoft with the task of carrying out a Socio-Economic Baseline Survey with the intention of deriving from the findings an in-depth understanding of the socio-economic and baseline indicators at the ward level. Borasoft research consultants successfully completed the assignment establishing among other issues, the challenges faced by the constituents and viable options for addressing these difficulties in order to inform the successful implementation of the county projects and programme. Benchmarks for comparing were established and impact measurement at the end of the projects and programmes ensuring advantaged and disadvantaged wards are considered.
Among other issues, Borasoft had been tasked to:
- Develop indicators in the county based on but not limited to the devolved functions.
- Provide a comprehensive and comparative analysis of development situation and trends in all the 45 wards.
- Provide an analysis socio-economic and development gaps in infrastructures and services including challenges faced by residents.
- Recommend the most appropriate and feasible way for harmonizing development to achieve parity.
- Provide analysis on perception and understanding of county residents on projects, programmes and services under taken by the county Government
